   Vibrant colors great packaging!

   Vibrant colors, and the packaging is very pretty! The swatch card was a nice touch, and I spent time with that as soon as my paints arrived.

   The one issue I had, two of the colors had, I don’t know how to explain it, like a hard film over them. I had to use the end of my brush to “break it up” and as soon as I did, those colors were useable.

   I have not painted with them just yet, but they seem like they will be good. Some of them seemed a bit “thick” and some more what I expect for watercolors, but it’s hard to judge harshly without more than a swatch for reference. The metalics are so pretty, and they did maintain the metallic shine when dry.

   For the cost, this was definitely worth it for a beginner/intermediate person. I’m not sure they are professional level, so artists looking to create larger, technical works, may prefer the tubed paints from more upscale brands. For me and my dabbling this is shaping up to be perfect.

   Great watercolor set.

   These watercolors are awesome! Great variety, metallic are pretty, bright and bold when you want them to be. Waters down exactly as watercolors should. Blending is smooth and the blooming effect you get with wet on wet technique is so cool. Very happy with my purchase, can’t wait to share with my artist friends.

   Variety of Vibrant Colors

   The paints came nicely packaged, in perfect condition. My adult daughter loved them and we started painting right away. The variety of colors were great, she tried the metallics and fluorescents right away loving them. Great effect, not gaudy. The other women at the watercolor party (yes, we threw an art party for her birthday) loved the effects as well. Colors vibrant, great variety, When I use up my 50-pack of colors in the same brand—it’ll take a while, they last well—I will replace with her 100-pack. I love that the paints in both sizes close up well for travel, the paint pen is a lot of fun and stores more paint than you’d think. An all around win for us.

   I'm a beginner but I love these!

   I haven’t done anything art related for about 20 years. Unless you count doodling when I’m on the phone lol. I’m no expert or even very practiced so don’t judge my first painting too hard lol.

   My mom and I signed up for a watercolor class at our local art center and after our first lesson I decided to order some inexpensive watercolors so I can have more colors. I found these and decided to order them since they had great reviews.

   I don’t have much to compare to due to lack of experience, but for a beginner these are phenomenal! We had our 2nd class today and i painted with them, we made trees (and a wonky moon and owl) with tape and then painted our background, removed the tape and then added some details. I didn’t get much done in class because I spent too much time trying to make tape trees lol, so I worked on it some more once I got home, it was nice to have my own set of paints to take home. You can’t really see in the pic but I used the metallic paint for the snow and it shimmers in the light, I love these watercolors!

   You have to let the metallic colors “soak” a little longer than the other colors to activate them, but they go on the paper no differently. Very easy to work with. I haven’t tried the brushes that were included with the set yet, I ordered some other brushes and have been using them, but I really like the idea of the water brushes. I’ll have to experiment with them when I get more paper.

   I’m not sure what “normal” watercolors cost, but I felt like these were a great deal. I hope to have tons more fun using these as I improve my skills.

   I just wanted to comment on one other thing – I read a lot of reviews that the text on the swatch sheet was upside down. Just turn your case “upside down” and everything matches up perfectly (see pic).

   Quality of the paint colors.

   These colors are so pure.
   This box is so small it can be tucked into almost any spot to take with you.
   I do watercolor painting so being able to take this with me while camping of hiking is a plus. Also included were some watercolor brushes that are filed w/water so you don’t have to bring a container of water with you.
   Also, there are quite a few iridescent colors available.
